Pretty good! I think the main bass was lacking and the drums were kind of in the background. I think the kick and snare need to be boosted on both it's high ends and low ends, and for the bass it needs to be crunchier. Try a bit rusher or any distortion VST. pretty good nonetheless. (:
Maybe you can review some of my tracks!

Thanks! I took your advice and changed my song a little. I'll be sure to leave a comment :3

Electro house is my favorite genre ever, so I'll criticize this to my full potential. I think that kick should be punchier, not bassier, punchier. Bassier isn't a word but that's okay.. I love the intro and those synths as well. Everything kind of flows. I like the bassline though I think there should be a bass that's lower to where you can really feel the bass in your feet. I really enjoyed this though, it's better than most of my electro. Haha, make it longerrr!!! 5/5.

YAY! FIRST REVIEW! WHOO! n__n

haha had to do that.

I agree about the kick, when it gets really noisy you don't really hear it punch through huh. Oooh you a bass lover. :D I am too! yeah I guess I should add a subbass in there huh, see what it sounds like.

Please your electro is quite amazing

It's only a preview! Hope you come and hear the next version when i finish it! n__n THANKS FOR THE REVIEW!

Very dark and creepy. It's a complete opposite of how my DnB sounds. Haha, mines usually bright and warm. I like this though. I would make that snare punchier and put it more on the high end. I would also had a definite melody that goes along with all the ambience. Because to me it just sounds like a DnB break floating in space with no direction or path, I like it though. It's unique. 4/5

Intense intro, I love how the tempo slows down so smoothly. The orchestral part sounds lovely. Everything just kind of falls into place right there. Even the drums are perfect. and then how it increases again. The DnB break was aweome..You know what. The whole track is just spot on. Kudos, 5/5.

There's a couple notes out of place is that arp, it really distracts from the melody itself. That should be fixed. It's not a complete song for it lacks several things. This is what you have:
+Nice melody and intro
+Punchy kick and beat
+Synths that work together
But you're missing more than what you have.
-No bassline
-No buildup/breakdown
-No effects
-No variety
I'm not saying it's bad, it's just lacking. (: But you're on the bridge to success my friend! Take pointers and improve, no one gets it right first try, good job.

Spl4sh responds:

I know what the bassline is. But could you elaborate on those last three? I don't know what they are.

I really love the arp at the beginning. I would have it evolve a little bit into the track.. like increasing the cutoff or the filter. I think the bass is too bassy, I'd turn the low ends down. (: I like the percussion though I'd turn the clap down a tad and add a wee reverb to it. The same with your hi hats. Although you could be going for drums that are very noticeable, that's just my preference. I think layering the two arps (the square one and the sine one) would sound nice together. Maybe even fluctuate the melody a little by raising one of the arps by an octave, that's what I like to do. Throw in some white noise effects or some transition effects as well and you got yourself a full track. :D Good song nonetheless, sorry if I sounded pushy, I was just giving all my opinions out. d:

MisterJayElectro responds:

You know, I think I agree with you on pretty much every point here. You weren't sounding pushy, just fine tuning something you already enjoyed :) I really feel good about this song, which says a lot, and it's great that other people like it.

I really should try taking your advice though; I just would feel silly uploading a "better" version right next to the first, and I don't like re-uploading to be honest. But it could be worth a shot :)

Hmm..Sounds like a bunch of samples from Mixcraft.

Lokstar447 responds:

It's all sampled from a Mixcraft trial that I'm playing with

Impressive. Do you have experience with music? Because this is pretty good for a first song. What programs/VSTs do you use?

My balls go upstairs. .____.

It's nice and relaxing. My only problem is with the drums. They're waaay too loud. d:

Your drums and a few your basses are clipping pretty bad. I'd bring it down some, sidechain compress with your basslines, find a soft EQ to put on your drums so they sound fuller, not louder.

To keep that chill feel you don't want your drums loud, right now you're burning thrm, you have to cook them to perfection. ;D 5/5.

inhstudios responds:

thanks buddy :)
ill take a look at some of that in the future, perhaps, and remaster it.
love the feedback:D
and some of the clipping is from a bitcrusher. :) its purposeful distortion :D
thanks for another great review

edit: I did a little looking, and the actual sample for the bass creates a "clipping" sound, but some of those spots where the bass drum is played, isn't actual clipping.
