Chords.

If it's anything I like in dubstep it's some sexy chords in the beginning.
I love this track! mind me asking, what program do you use?
We could Collaaaab.

Magnificeeent!

I absolutely love this song. I smiled so hard at the drop.
I wish i knew the tricks you used here. Like the vocal chopping, and actually putting good use to the dirty noises.
Crazy track, guess who's on my favorites list? :D

msevaamore responds:

Thank you so much! :) <3

I personally enjoy this.

It's new, I've never heard of a "tracey dub" track before, and you just made it!
I know you don't produce Dubstep, but you should definitely add an LFO to the bassline, besides that it was good. That sounds like Skrillex in the beginning!!

YakovlevArt responds:

Yeah I know what you mean. Most likely I will add some kind of wub-wub =]
Recently I have been working on thing track, I feel it's going to end up being half dubstep, half full on dance.

Also, yes that is a sample of Skrillex in the intro =]

Damn It's been a while.

Shit dude, I haven't been on this site in a while.
Once again, brilliant, though I think there should be some pads orsomething or sweeps in the background to fill that empty void behind the epicness.
By the way, where do you get your samples? Your kicks and whatnot, or do you make them? Message me HOE! :D

YakovlevArt responds:

Haha, excellent review!
I did try to add pads and sweeps in the intro and breakdowns but keep them away from the main drops and such because I wanted you to hear more drums and bass -HA!

I guess you could say I made my own drums, I did layer a few kicks and snares and such, but for the bassline that I made all on my own :3
-I ended up having to re-sample to get it to sound the way it does though.

Interesting.

I imagine a boy walking through limbo at the beginning, I'm not to sure what happens to him once the kick comes in. I think you should have kept it simply and calm like it was from 0:00 to 0:25, instead of the kick and lead coming in. It gives off a darkish kind of sound, but I think the lead synth and the kick kind of kill that mood for me. Other than that it sounds great. Check out my music?

KiraLiske123 responds:

I somewhat agree with you, but I couldn't find anything else to add to the intro, and my mind always wanders into techno, even in heavy metal (most of the time). I may try making something like this again.

Simply amazing!

I imagine this song being used in a flash game that's sort of sinister y'know?
I can also see it turning into a 190BPM Drum n' Bass song, using this melody as an intro and an outro. If you do make DnB I suggest you give it a shot! Magnificent!

Zodiax responds:

That would be way awesome! Perhaps I'll try the drum n' bass thing, and i'll check out your music sometime when I get the chance.

This time.. A good review!

I liked the voclas, though I think there should be some delay or reverb to add some life to his voice.
I loved the glitchy/DnB beat at the beggining and the appregios, and the pianos!
I think the hi hats are too loud, and i think it leans more to DnB than trance.
It definitely has a trance atmosphere, but the beat sort of gives it away to me. (:
Then it kinda turns into dubstep with that wet wobble, and the talking synth, the wobble should be a little quiter, and the talking synth should cut into the wobble a bit more to make it sound little crazier, other than that I think it's amazing!
Check out my shitty music? (:

Interesting..

This is missing a lot elements for an enjoyable song. Such as:
1. Atmosphere
2. Structure
3. A defined drum pattern/beat
4. A melody
5. And diversity
It's not a bad song, but right now it kind of sounds like noise, and the talking bassline for 3 minutes, you should try adding some pads, or a melody and a drum beat to add some life to this song. (:
Check out my tracks too? :D

Anasi0n responds:

sorry, all i have are cheap drum samples, none of em sound good...

Gewd shiet.

Probably my favorite track of yours.
It has plenty of variation, and it sounds thicker.
My only suggestion is to make that fat beat FATTER.
By the way what program do you use?

CowardlyLion responds:

Thanks a lot! I spent a little while working on the overall dynamics of it. I'll continue on creating music and hopefully make fatter and fatter beats! I use Logic Pro right now, with a lot of VSTs from Native Instruments, and plugins from iZotope and Waves.

Ohshizz.

Obviously I'm giving this a 10 because I helped...cough cough.
Fat beatz are courtesy of Dra, and I really like what goin on here, not too crazy, not to mellow, but I do think we need some percussion up in this piece, and I'm not sure if the random mario sounds are too well incorporated with the melody and such, it'd be better if you arranged them into a sort of beat, but I love how mario is like "letsa go!"
GOOD SHIT.
