Very Harmonic.

I love your use of pianos, and integrating them with the lead.
What's your trick on creating melodies? Haha, I'm so bad at it.
Sounds like classic happy trance to me! (: Bueno.

stephenstripling responds:

Thanks! I pretty much just sit down and come up with one, I don't really have a trick. Thanks again!

Another one.

I especially like the beat in this one.
But I suggest a harder kick..
A reverse cymbal to make the drops seems heavier..
And make those drops heavier in general!
Dude you live in Colorado? I live in Denver. Haha.

CowardlyLion responds:

Thanks man, glad you like it. I'll have to keep working on my drum kit for sure. Yeah I live in Greeley! Haha, I've probably seen you at a few shows then!

Damn soooon.

I like that wobble you got goin on there.
What'd you use to make that?

The samples are good too.
Nice track.

CowardlyLion responds:

Thanks, glad you like it! I made the wobbles/basses with Native Instruments' Razor. I love Razor, one of the best VST I've ever used.

Oh yeah.

I wasn't feeling the beginning, but as it progressed I felt a little more comfortable with it. It sounds like a song that would play in a rave in Candyland to me. (: I know it's weird. But it's upbeat, happy, and sweet.
New name "Lolipop Bass". You have to make a song called that now. :D

YakovlevArt responds:

HAHAHA! So true!
I shall do that!
Thanks for the review man! =]

Fantastic, but missing "something."

Hmm..I'm listening to this as I type this, and I do love it.
It just feels like it's missing something. I just can't put my finger on it.
It could be that the main drums swallow the percussion in the background..
Or a melody that is truly defined. I'm not sure.
I wish I could explain it better. Good job though!

TheBiocide responds:

Hey, thanks man. Really glad you liked it :)
And I know that feeling of not being able to pinpoint something being "off" in a song. Wish I knew what it was so I could try and fix it :/

Thanks again for that review, dood. I don't get ones like that too often!

TOO SHORT. D:

Add an intro.
Add a buildup.
BOOM.
the song is three times better.
I'm diggin this.
But if you want true feedback I suggest making it longer. (:

Nice. (:

There's a couple things I'd add her to add more energy.
I'd make the intro longer..
Give the kick more "umph"..
Throughout the song it sounds like it's missing something..
I just can't figure out what it is, other than that good job!
Keep it up.

That Melody.

Everything fits so well together.
The synths, orchestra, the sweeps, the percussion, the piano, everything.
When I hear this I think of the Nightlife of a Humble city. It really portrays my images and brings them to life. You're definitely my favorite artist here on NG. One because you're not a douche, two because you can make such smooth relaxing tracks, but you have variety, and three because you communicate with your foloowers, and update us on your status. It's on my iPod already by the way. As long as I support you I hope to get some help and support from you as well. Because obviously I am not as good. d: I need a better program, but I have ideas that flow through my head like water. I just need inspiration and motivation, and you give me that! Keep it up.

YakovlevArt responds:

Detious? (I guess that is your name)
You are a great person. It's hard to meet great people especially on a hectic site like this. I'm glad you are part of my "followers." I really appreciate you reviewing my tracks, and every time it's something new. I try to stay in contact with my friends so that we can grow off of each other =]
I can understand that a better program can give you better sounds, but I understand your ideas. You have a unique sound. I KNOW that if you keep practicing and listening to the proper music, breaking it down, understanding the techniques and ways used, you will become better. No matter what program you are using. I will continue to upload tracks for a long time, for free, in the best quality as long as i can.
I believe with the right determination and attitude, YOU can be a great artist. You just have to figure out the program you are using to work for you.
-I gotta say this track took me at least 3 sleepless nights and on and off weeks to complete.
Message me anytime you want to discuss production issues or want to collab =]

Nice.

I like the beat for this.
It's pretty chill and relaxed as well.
Not much to say!
