Really liked the melody along with the breakbeats under the piano, the drop seems quite similar to Sigma's Remix of Hanging on but oh well. :P I think the bass synth itself could be grimier and more in your face if you're going with a harder track. There's much more you could have done like add some melodic synths to go along with the drop or some arps though I like your arrangement of the synths and modulations, you got potential man! (:

Cheers broham,

AeroMusic responds:

omg it sounds so similar - yeah I've probably heard that song before aswell haha
thought I was going for a tantrum desire remix of thunder approach with a bit of classic jump up synths godammit
I might delete this song seems like its in the same key and everything

I'm gonna have to say about that song in the description :p Anyway thanks for letting me know - also, I agree about the melodies stuff- it did have vocals over the piano bits but I took it out cause NG doesn't allow anything copyrighted

I love the synths you used at the begininng, reeeeeally reminds me of the modern warfare games. (:
I agree that the solo guitar was a little rando but fits really well with the overall feel, great work :D

Lockyn responds:

Oh damn, thanks man! Those were too good for me LOLOL I wish I was as good as MW soundtrack. Yeah, it is random :/ thanks though :3

I love the mellowness of the melody and the synths, those spacey arps are really nice. (:
Good stuff mate! 5/5

CowardlyLion responds:

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for listening!

Intro was a little rough! And your wobble and some of your synths are distorting a little bit, I suggest eqing them again!
I thought it was strange how it started as dubstep, transitioned into cinematic techno and then into trance in which you changed your drums completely.
I love the melody and overall vibe you should just be more consistent with the song and if you do have so many variations make smoother transitions (:

RequiemoftheHeart responds:

Thanks for the feedback! Also I agree that I need to do some reworking of the EQ. I just started using the Multiband Compressor more and still need to improve my post-production and EQ work.

When did your shit start so professional? I can't even follow your synth arrangement cause there's so much going on though it flows really nice all the way through. There's never a point where it seems like you got lazy and skipped even just 1 bar or copy and pasted. Which is a really, really good thing!!
I feel like I can add a lot more grime to it. d:
Dude seriously we need to collab, our minds together would create some boss shit
If you got da melody I got da bass 5/5 10/10

Lockyn responds:

Hey dude! Nice to see ya again :) Thanks for the compliments, even though they're way too good for me xD And yes Mr. Grime, you can add that nice nasty bass please ;D Get to PMing me then! :P I'm totally up for some collabs bro. ^^ Cheers cheers!

The problem with starting with FL and using the x3Osc to produce your wobbles is it's very difficult to get a unique sound, though I enjoyed the second part better! (: stay away from Fl's premade samples as well! They're pretty common xP

medusabeatz responds:

i stayed away from all fls stock sounds other than the kick i kinfa enjoyed the kick a little lol, but most of this was made using massive, i was really shooting for a........ wtf kind of dubstep song is this type thing.... its verry simple to start even when the audience thinks it drops... but like you said before... the real drop is at the second part and im really glad you noticed that as well so this was verry helpfull indeed, your comment gets voted up thank you man!

Can I pleeeeeease get the MIDI for your melodies so I can do a remix? (: I'll give you all kinds of credit, love the song! 5/5 + Favorited :D

sandordude responds:

Sure, why not? I'll send them via PM

Dude, I want you to use iZotope's Ozone for your mastering. d: I love how it sounds and I love your synths but it's missing that high end crispyness. GIVE IT A GO :D
Lovely song (:

Xtrullor responds:

I've been considering trying it in my master mix. It's pretty much out of my price range at the moment, though...

Hmm, I notice this a lot in your songs..
Your bass isn't really popping out at the drops and it sounds muddy I guess?
Mayybe it's the compression but I just can't really hear them. :(

I hear dat snare doe...

Xtrullor responds:

Oh shucks. I better fix that up fast. Thanks for the heads up!

Hmmm. Your bass is cutting into the mix sooo much that its drowning the drums so I'd compress them a little bit more and the arrangements of the modulations on the bass seem a little random. d:
Nonetheless I loved the intro and the beat; really smooth. Great work :)

martin-wales responds:

yeah totally get what you mean. already had the sound a bit compressed, but having a lot of bother with the levels on my synth. im using massive and the feedback gives it an aweome sound when I turn it up but the levels instantly peak... turning out to be an akward one.haha but yeah cheers for the review.
