Can hear some xKore influence!

Xtrullor responds:

You're right! I was an avid fan of xKore's dubstep.

That snare drum, man.

Is that harmor I hear? :D gnarly dude.

Gravity-Lag responds:

haha, that was actually harmless but it's pretty much the same principle. I still own neither of them which sucks. Thanks for the comment.

I love it, it's so danceable but there's a looooot of simple but effective things you can do to improve on this.
Add some reverb to your synths, delays, EQing, it just sounds really bland and there's a lot of empty space for more, but I love the vibe that you have going (:

Gravity-Lag responds:

First of all, spot on. The song has yet to be finished let alone mastered. I mostly put work into finishing the drums first as far as structure goes. Thanks for the kind words and the level headed critique, at least I know I'm moving in the right direction with it. Glad you enjoyed it enough to speak up, stay frosty.

Hmm. Musically there's not really much going on at the moment, maybe try some different synths, try a more powerful melody and add some percussion! (:

Right now it's just a strange high pitched arp. d: but good work!

Smidly responds:

Thank you for the advice, I was originally going to try putting in some more dense drums but it felt cluttered to me with them. Apargios are totes what Dexter used with the Elton

That is one punchy ass kick. d:
Gives off a Seven Lionss feel :)
I really like the arrangement of your synths and those basses.
Spot on yo! :D

Lockyn responds:

Thanks so much dude! OMG that is a HUGE compliment xD I don't really deserve it, but thank you anyways! lolol.

keep up your awesome work, I enjoyed your recent dubstep posts! :D

Stay away from those generic trance synths. Try creating a unique synth that sounds just as good! Maybe add a vibrato? Or a phaser? Try different effects and experiment man! (: But pretty good.

TEIONmusic responds:

I respect your comment, but the synth already has heavy chorus on it. I spent about 2 hours on that synth itself. I am really proud of how it came out

First 15 seconds were brilliant, though after it seemed to be overwhelmed a bit. and there seems to be a snare that's offset as well.

Try experimenting with different basses to finish this!

xTronK responds:

Yeah, i noticed that off snare, but this is just raw loop to show my uber shit producing skills. And after 15 sec i wanted something energetic and driving, but i guess i did too much layers cuz it sounds really shitty.

Very interesting. I imagine this could be used as in-game background music for an 8-bit of some sort. But I really like your synths and the variety of things you tried.
Very intricate. I think you could make very interesting tracks. Especially with the the dubstep break towards the end. you really have something going there. (:
5/5!

adaline responds:

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback!

I'm glad you enjoyed the music. Variety was a key idea in creating this as I wanted to try as many new things in a rather short track without making it too much of a clutter.

Intricacy was really fun to put together! All the tiny little details, variations, every build up, putting together the synths, both lead and those floating in the background, was all really fun and I'm happy that you feel it came out well!

Again, thanks so much. I didn't expect as positive of a reaction from this piece as it's my first foray into what is wilderness to me. Thank you!

Pretty catchy at the start, but stay away from those generic melodies and keep it fresh! (: I do like what you did with those plucky synths though. 4/5!

Xsalvaz responds:

Thanks man! Just going for the easy-to-like, catchy melody dance song. Like I said, about 30 minutes max of work into this. haha.
